Assembly Processing?

Dear Experts,

Please explain me to configure the system for Assembly Processing step wise step.

What is the need of configurable material and Standard Network-please explain this with business scenario.

Hi,

Basic funstion of assebly process.

If you create a sales order for a material to which a strategy group for assembly processing has been assigned, for example, the system automatically creates an assembly order in the background and starts assembly processing.

Prerequisites for Assembly Processing

1) Std Network as a Template and also possible Std WBS as Template.

2)Material with sales views and possible MRP Views. In Material master, sales org 2 view, select the item cat group.

3) Same material tobe assigned to the std network.

4) Requirement class that enables assembly in the sales order.

Goto CN08 and assign the material and std network and other required details.

Get a help from MM Guy if you are not comfortable with Material master to have the settings of MRP and sales org 2 view.

Can anyone anyone explain all the steps with IDES DATA.

Becz i am following all the steps but desired result is not coming.

Hi,

1).Requirement class 80 and requirement type KP.(Tcode OVZH)

2). Maintain the above in strategy 85 in planning strategy in SPRO.

3). Maintain requirement type and class for item category in VV07.

3) Create standard templates thru CJ91 and CN01.

4).Create materials thru MM01 and select material type as KMAT and strategy group 85 as defined above and maintain item category as u have maintained in spro.

5).Assign materials to network and wbs thru CN08.

Follow this procedure

• To use assembly processing (with networks), you need a suitable standard network as a template for the network that is to be created. The system uses this standard network to create the executable network during assembly processing.

• A material must be entered in the sales document. We need to have set up a material master that supports assembly processing. i.e. At least the sales views (item category group) must have been defined in the corresponding material master. If you determine the requirements type via the MRP group or strategy group, you will also need the MRP views of the material master.

• The "Network parameters for sales order" table forms a link between the material and standard network. If you want to have completely automatic assembly processing, you must make entries in this table. Otherwise, a dialog box appears in sales order maintenance where you can enter the missing data.

• In requirement type determination, the system determines a requirements type and requirements class that enable assembly processing. In the standard system, you can use requirements class 212 and requirements type KMPN as templates.
