Hi Deepthi,

PA40:

- It will automatically tigger the infotypes Ex: Actions - When u hire any person it will automatically tigger various Infotypes

- Useful when you hire a person and when all the information has to be feeded at once

PA30:

- It will not tigger any Infotype. All the infotype can be accessed seperately only.

- Useful when you want to change any information on any specific infotype,

Hi,

PA30 is usually used to maintain individual infotypes of the personnel.

You use PA40, on the other hand, if there needs to be a mass change of more than one infotype due to an action on the personnel. (e.g. hiring action maintains multiple infotypes ).

Moreover, even if you are going to maintain one infotype (e.g. IT0008) but you wanna record it as an action on the personnel (e.g. salary increase) you again use PA40.

One final note: w/o hiring the person thru PA40, you cannot use PA30. (Always use PA40 first for a new personnel)

Best wishes,

Dilek
