Java Configuration Error in "J2EE Engine Visual Administrator"

Former Member

I am configuring XI and currently in "J2EE Engine Visual Administrator" in Service "JCo RFC Provider" and getting eror

"Error Starting Bundle see log for Details". I dont know the password for user "SAPJSF". I want to reset the password for this but this is not available in 000 client.

1) Can I give any other user instead of "SAPJSF"?

2) Where I can find this SAPJSF user?

Hi Nishanth,

For changing SAPJSF password Open your Visual Administrator of your portal and go to Server0 -> Services -> UM Provider

There you can change the property:

ume.r3.connection.master.passwd

And also one more thing :

Follow OSS Note 721548.

If you change the password of the SAPJSF user, note that it must also be changed for the RFC connections that are used in XI. To do this, log onto the J2EE administrator tool and change the password in the individual RFC destinations in 'Cluster --> Server --> Services --> JCo RFC Provider'. Choosing the Set pushbutton and then stopping and starting the destination transfers the changes.

Hi Nishanth,

Actually find out where this error is occuring while opening visual

admin or on click of JCo RFC provider service.

If it's error in service..try restarting the JCo service then give destination names exactly the way mentioned in SR1 guide.

And also:

Check whether for each destination u have set the checkbox of unicode and local bundle checkbox is unchecked for all destinations.

You don't need to explicitly start JCo RFC unless u see

RED crossmark to that service in left hand pane.

Some more ideas:

Just try to restart the SAP Server it may work.

Check one more time if SAPJSF password entered is right.

Check if the SAP role that was assigned to SAPJSF (or PI_JCO_RFC) had been generated or not.Ask ur security team to generate the role.

Go thru this it will help u:

Plz do check this also:

1. Log on to your Integration Server host.

2. Call transaction SM59.

3. Choose Create.

4. Enter at least the following:

○ RFC destination: LCRSAPRFC

○ Connection type: T

○ Description: <your description>

5. Choose ENTER.

6. Choose the Technical settings tab and do the following:

a. Select Registered Server Program.

b. In the Program ID field, enter: LCRSAPRFC_<SID>

<SID> is the SAP system ID of your Integration Server host.

Caution

Use uppercase letters only.

c. Enter Gateway host and Gateway service of your Integration Server host.

To find out the required parameters:

...

i. On the Integration Server host, call transaction SMGW.

ii. Choose Goto u00AE Parameters u00AE Display (see entries for gateway hostname and gateway service).

7. Choose the Special Options tab and select the Unicode flag in the Character Width in Target System box.

8. Save your settings.

After this, check you RFC destination using SM59

If by default LCRSAPRFC destination is there and maintains above mentioned parameters then check for the log in:

<drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS01\j2ee\admin\log\system

Did you tried wizard based configuration?

If it is fresh installation then just run the wizard based configuration, it will automatically do lots of things for you..like creation of RFC destination etc etc

Thanks

This is not wizard based configration I have already performed some steps in SAP side and now going to do the below steps in J2EE Visual Admnistator.

Perform the following steps:

...

1. On your Integration Server host, start the J2EE Engine Visual Administrator.

2. Choose Cluster ® Server ® Services ® JCo RFC Provider.

3. In the RFC destination section, enter exactly the same program ID and gateway options for AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER that you used in the step Maintain the RFC Connections (ABAP) above. Additionally, set the number of processes to 10.

4. In the Repository section, do the following:

a. Enter the parameters for the Integration Server host: Application Server, System Number, Client, and Language.

b. For User and Password maintain the login parameters for the user SAPJSF.

c. Select the Unicode flag.

5. Choose Set.

6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for the remaining destinations:

○ AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER

Corresponding values from transaction SM59

Number of processes: 10

○ LCRSAPRFC

Corresponding values from transaction SM59

Number of processes: 3

○ SAPSLDAPI

Corresponding values from transaction SM59

Number of processes: 10
