What is distribute quanty and contents button in GR

what is the use of contents and distribute quantity button in GR screen

Distribute Quantity is a Functionality in Standard SAP. Using this you Can Distribute the GR Line Item Quantity to Unrestricted, Blocked, Quality.

Suppose if you have a Line Item in GR Consists of 30 Items You can Distibute the quanities into Different Stock types.

Using Contents tab You can Copy the cell Contents.

hi ashok,

i have 75 qty in my PO and i distribute

25 to unrestricted

25 to quality inspection

25 to blocked

but i can see 25 unrestricted updation in my MMbe stock

how to see that quality and blocked stocks

i tried to see same mmbe organ objects but no updation

can u give me the soln

After Executing the Material Stock Overview MMBE Select Total Qty and Click on Magnifier / Double Click on total Quantity. Here You can see the Quantities.

Hi,

Use of distribute qty is vendor sends different qty with different mfg dates & vendor number in that case u can use of distribute qty in Gr it helps in to post different qty with different batch numbers & mfg dates

HI,

Distribute Quantity - once you click on this you will get a pop up, the system will ask you to distribute this QTY in PO into different stock types.

Contents - This icon is used to copy information.

hi,

When you want to distribute the quantity equally among items for eg:

Total qty 100

Distribute it in 10 equals parts of 10 each..then press this button..

It will do automatically..

This is distributed to different stocks while GR...

But remember, if any changes made in the distributed qty ....then it is impossible to again distribute it properly...

so if req. to make change, do it in details only...

Here total ordered quantity can distributed to unrestricted stock/quality stock/blocked stock while doing GR.
