why condition supliments are used?

Hi Friend...

A condition supplement is a supplement for a particular condition type. For example, you can include a supplement every time you apply a material price. The supplement can contain various discounts. During pricing, the system automatically applies the discounts defined in the supplement every time it accesses a material price. You define the condition types for which you want to use condition supplements in Customizing for Sales.

Lets see with an example...

Clients offer the promotion for their newly introduced product as first come first serve basis like for first 100 orders product X price is 800/-(INR) normally this price is Rs1200/-.

For promoting purpose they are offering for first 100 orders only Rs 800/-.

To map this, as we all know, we active the condition update field in price condition type and maintain the number of sales orders in additional data while creating condition record in VK11/VK31.

so as per system config,upto 100 sales orders for Product X, price will be copied in sales order would be Rs800/-.

after that this offer will be Void.now system doesnt know which price should pickup for 101 sales order.For this we use the condition supplement and maintain the Rs1200/- by choosing condition supplement in GOTO-CONDITION SUPPLEMENT.

now system understands after that offer is deactive, then system check for next price for that product from here and copy in sales order.

ii)whenever customer order for the material - X ,particular material discount should be allowed .

instead of maintaining it in a seperate conditon record. we have the option to maintaing in this condition record along with price of that mat-X.

2)- I think u have heard about "10% discount applied for All EG goods "-

so that 10% discount doesnt apply to COmputer table ,bcoz its not an EG.

before that u need to creat material pricing group-

IMG-SD-BF-PRICING-PRICING CONTROL-MAINTAIN PRICE RELEVANT MASTER DATA-DEFINE MATERIAL GROUPS-new entries

enter

EG-Electronic Good.

Now maitain this EG in both Plasma TV & Computer master data- in sales org 2 view,- material pricing group field.

include the condition type K029 -in Pricing procedure and maintain the condition record for K029-

check the results in Va01-

And also please note that...Condition Supplement will be active for the standard pricing procedure but if you using your own pricing procedures then in that case it won't be active. In other words condition supplement is active in VK31 (Standard T-code for SAP) but will not be active in VK11 (Which is also Standard but in here we can give custom condition types).

Hi

Condition Supplement is a group of conditions that should be applied every time a certain condition is found.

e.g. If u define a material price, u 'll enter condition records for that material and the corresponding price. If u also want to give discount to that material everytime the price is determined, u can enter the discount condition type as a condition supplement. So whenever the price is determined for the material,it 'll automatically includes the discount condition records.

Hi there,

In some cases there is aneed to apply 2 discounts at the same time but only when one of the discounts is applied.

For eg : Consider you have a freight tax under some conditions. But you also decided to give a dicsount on that freight tax for your customers. In that case you define the freight tax discount as a supplementary condition to freight tax. So when ever freight tax is appiled, freight tax discount is also applied.
