Hi Guys

I am getting this error when we access the forums tab in ep.

It was working fine, then we restarted the portal and we got this error.

com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo: Cannot download the information about application [sap.com/com.sap.netweaver.coll.forums] from the database.

Now we are unable to access the forums.

We are running EP 7 with sp 12.

Hi Vinit

I checked your recommendation and both those files exist.

We are just unable to start the forums application.

Do you have any other ideas.

Hi Koti

The problem with that is if we re-apply the SCA files we will blow away all the config we have already done.

So our first option is to fix it rather re-apply.

I just don't know why it stopped working Logs give no answers.

Usually these types of exceptions will come when they are not deployed correctly.

check the logfiles to make sure deployment done succesfully or not

Hi Koti

All log files look OK.

Deployment logs are fine to

The forums were working fine prior to a un-related restart.

Now it will not start even though the portal is running.

Is there a specific log file we should be looking at?

Hi

<installation_path>\j2ee\cluster\server0\logdefaultTrace.trc

check dafault.trc file with modified date as the datewhen you get the error.

or check the latest modified date of default.trc file
