CC and Banking Data

We have often had the need to send our database to SAP for support, is their a way I can effectively clear or remove all credit card data and banking information from my SAP database and restore it later without compromising the integrity or structure of the data?

HI Nate,

One option for you is restoring your backuped database to test environment and using SQL command to delete those info from it. Then backup this clean database again before sending it to SAP support. In this way, nothing has been violated. However, it I were you, I would have more confidience that should not be neccesary.

Thanks Gordan, I do have confidence in SAP, However, a newly implemented company police will prevent me from releasing CC and banking information.

Jitin's reply with the link to the SAP Note is exactly what you should be looking at. Sending DB to SAP is quite safe.
