CRXI Formatting Numbers within a text field

I have two formulas, one an if, then, else where the else is a text therefore it requires me to make the then a totext field. The second is a number which needs to be placed in brackets - <"[" & @formula & "]" >. The result is both formulas are viewed as text and does not allow a number format. I need the first in a 2 decimal format 0.00 and the second in a whole number [0]. I have the report default set as the first one, anyway to change the format of the second?

totext(,2)

Tells the first one to have 0 decimal places and the second one to have 2.
