Whats the significance of the Fixed Values in a Domain?

Hi Archana,

The significance of maintaining Fixed values is to make it compulsory for the user to Enter one of the values provided by us.

It tells the user that these all the possible inputs for that particular Field.

For Example:

If user selects SE -


> Software Engineer.

If user selects PM-------> Project Manager.

press f1 on the Fixedvalues option, you can see the help

and also read the sap help.

hi,

Its just to provide F4 help for the fields using that domain.

with this we can provide the user with the list of values ( a few ) that can be applicable

for example take the case of an employee.

if there is a field for entring the sex of the candidate , so the list is either M of F.

in this type of cases we use fixed values insted of creating search helps

you cannot insert any other values other than the list
