Hello!
I have to create a service contract from a sales order. In the sales order there is one line item i have to copy to the service contract. The Sales Order was created with distribution channel 1. The Service Contract should be created in Distribution Channel 2. Now the system says: "Distribution channels deviate from each other" and won't let me create the contract with the reference to the Sales Order.
Do you know a way to go around this check? Maybe in customizing?
Thanks and regards,
Frank
Hi
This can be solved by using a customised Routine in the copycontrol(VTAA) for COPYING REQUIREMENTS.
But this is an interesting scenario which is not a regular practice. If you explain the business scenario for this requirement, that will be helpful to many members in this forum
Thanks,
Ravi

Thank you very much for your answer.
And now the scenario for this question:
The client has a sales are with 0001/01/01. On a quote there will be products that are usually sold by another sales area (an offer for Service Contract). They are their only for information. If the customer accepts the quote a sales order will be created in sales area 0001/01/01. But the clients wants the service contract to be created automatically in another sales area (0002/02/01). This is for reporting reasons only.
The SAP is moaning if you want to create a sales document with reference to another sales doc when the sales area is different.
Hope that explained it a little bit.
Cheers,
Frank
