Crystal Enterprise 9 with MSOffice 2007

Hi,

We have Crystal Enterprise 9 installed in a server from where we schedule the reports (whose output are in excel, doc etc) and distribute it various recipients. The server currently has MSOffice 2003 installed. We are planning to install/upgrade to MSOffice 2007 in that server.

I would like to know if there will be any impact on the on the functioning of Crystal Enterprise 9.

Is Crystal Enterprise 9 compatible with MSOffice 2007?

Does we need to take any steps like uninstalling Crystal Enterprise 9, then install MS Office 2007 and then again reinstall Crystal Enterprise 9.

Pls share your views.

Hi,

If you are upgrading from MS Office 2003 to MS Office 2007 there wonu2019t be any impact on the functionality on the CR Server.

You need not uninstall the Crystal Enterprise 9. You can uninstall the MS Office 2003 and then install the MS Office 2007.

Also you can use the virtual machine to install anything over this operating system and it would work exactly similar to the original scenario and once you are satisfied with all the thing you are concerned about, you can install on the server.
