How to use Data Entry Layouts?

Hello BCS experts!

I need to create custom Data Entry Layout which functionality seems to be more flexible than standard Combined, Data-driven and Predefined Fixed Structures could offer. I need your advice about how to create the form I describe below:

Description

Breakdown Category 0010 forces currency to be typed into the form

Breakdown Category 0100 forces companies to be mentioned

Breakdown Category 1000 forces movement types to be wrapped (100, 160, 170, 180)

General algorithm needed in the Data Entry Layout

We need system to perform some additional form changes when we meet some characteristic values in the form itself. It could be special Breakdown Category values which lead to the presence of additional strings (subitems) taken from different dimensions (or their mix), as well additional columns have to be added in the form (currencies).

Probable solutions

1. To break Data Entry Layout on 3 Variants as shown above. We have to use Predefined Fixed Structures or Data-driven Structures with complex selection.

2. Mix Variant1, Variant2 and Variant3 together into single Data Entry Layout and set u201CAccording to Transaction Datau201D as join condition. Then, we could develop special initialization file and upload it with Flexible Upload without overriding previous entered values. Next, we might open our Data Entry Layout and get it wrapped according to the initialization file. Fields where we have set ZEROes will appear in Data Entry Layout as ready-to-input.

My questions

1. Did you use Data Entry Layouts mentioned in Variant1, Variant2, Variant3? Are they all possible to implement in BCS 6.0?

2. Has the idea with u201Cinitialization fileu201D a chance to survive? Does anyone have tried that solution or my assumption is wrong?
