Hi,
We want to use the field IDNLF (manufacturers part number from teh purchasing inforecord) on item level in the PR to create a purchase requisition.
Normally you use the SAP number but we want to use the idnlf.
It seems to be a simple information field but we want to use it for scanning the barcodes which only have a manufacturers part number.
Is a user exit helpfull? And if yes, which one seems to be the best?
Please help!!
Kind regards,
Bart
Hi Again,
If you have set the link correctly, you should be able to raise the inforecord against the stocking part number and set any conditions accordingly.
When raising a PO, it is possible to use the manufacturers part number and the system will bring in the conditions from the stocking part number.
Regards,
Col

Hi there,
Have you tried creating a material type HERS (Manufacturer parts) and linking it to your own material number. Then on the purchasing view of your own material, cross reference back to your new material number.
The system then views both part numbers as the same material.
