Need to make as Optinal entry

Hi all

When I am creating asset PO it is asking for order number, I need to make this field as optional entry how can i make it.

It is Not Possible. You Cannot Set the Asset Number Field to Optional.

Hi,

If the account assignment category mentioned in the PO is "A" then you will need to specify an asset code.

Asset code can be created using AS01

Hi

You can't make the field as optional because without PO number nothing will happen. However you can enter the PO number manually if you need. Check at TCode OMH6 there you select the external check box

hi,

This asset number is used to locate the G/L accounts internally in the system...so its necessary to enter the number for the proper posting to proper account....ie. asset account...

So its suggested to not to make the field optional...
