No Backups made

Hi all,

Our customer has some problems with making backups. We set everyday at 10pm to make backups everything is set with path etc.

When i look on the Eventviewer in Windows we have the following error:

The description for Event ID ( 165 ) in Source ( SBOBackUp ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. Somebody know how?

Hi Chief

What's the patch level of your server tools?

There is a known issue before that the backup

service can not take backup on SQL Server 2005

smoothly which is fixed on the recent patch.

Please try to update your server tool to the latest PL

then check again.

Thanks for your reply, our customer using PL11! But is there any risks to only upgrade/install the server tools?

Hello Chief,

You can better use sql for creating your backup files. this is far more reliable then the sbo backup utility...
