Hi FI Experts,

I created one cost center and bymistake forgot to gave business area, now whenever i am trying to assign it in mode change cost center it is showing me 'field change business area not possible

Diagnosis

To ensure the consistency of existing data, you can only change object Business Area if no transaction data exists in the change period; that is, neither plan data nor actual data has been posted.

As transaction data already exists, it is not possible to change objects in this time period.

Procedure

If you still want to change the object, select a suitable change interval by choosing "Edit -> Analysis period...".

And in change mode not allowing me to edit anything through analysis period, can anybody guide me in this.

I had just consult with my FI-mates, You ahve to reverse the entries and then only able to make desired changes.

Thanks for prompt reply but whatever you told me i already done that and in change mode system not allowing me to go in analysis period.

is there any other way to do this ?
