Consumption based Planning

Hi all ,

1) What is total Horizon,Planning Horizon ? where is it customised ?

2) Can Planning files be viewed and edited ?

3) where can the MRP Planning Indicator in MRP Type set ? ( How regularly its planned ).

4) can we manually enter the planning mode in the planning file entry ?

No its automatically generated based on your changes done...but you can enter which type of planning you r choosing..NETCH, NETPL, etc..

MRP type is set in the MRP view of MMR...Once it is set, then it is not req. to change...until you need any change in the process...

you can view the planning file generated ...but can't edit...

Total planning horizon is point from where all the data reg. same is taken into account when the Planning is run..

for eg:

If there are 10 mtrls..if there r changes in 2 of them...then if we define total horizon..then it will take all the values for all the 10 even after there r little changes...

but in the

Planning will take all the options into account which are / were relevent to the that there wil not be any strain will be developed on the SAP system..
