I have data at source system
i.e is ID DATE
123 12-3-1985
how to convert the data into ID DATE DAY MONTH YEAR WEEKNO WEEK DAY
WHICH TYPE OF ROUTINE WE USE?
is that routine is start routine or convertion routine or global routine?
and give more clarity about routine?
thanking for you.
Hi,
map Date source field to BW 0CALDAY infoobject and from that 0CALDAY in Bw date can be connverted into Year, month week by BW time coversions available at transfer and update rules.

Hi,
There is no need to write any routine for this. You can use the formula in either transfer rule or update rule. In the mapping, just click on formula and you will get a screen where you can write a formula.
In the right hand side, there is a list of formulae readily available for use. Just find out the required one from that list and use it.

Hi,
At the info Object creation level you even had a option to select the Convertion Routine for Time Characteristics.
Like....
IDATE External date INPUT conversion exit (e.g. 01JAN1994)
PDATE Conversion Exit for Domain GBDAT: DD/MM/YYYY -> YYYYMMDD
SDATE External date (e.g. 01.JAN.1994) INPUT conversion exit
hope it helps.

You can also acheive this using a simple update routine.

You dont need to write any routine. In BW side, use the object 0CALDAY, 0CALMONTH , 0FISCYEAR and 0CALWEEK . Map all these odjects with the date field. The time conversion is automatic in BW.
