Hi jiten,

A master role works like reference role from which the other roles can be derived and those are called derived roles. When you have created aderived role from a master role then you can make changes to the org structure only.

Composite role is nothing but collection of single roles so when you will change the single role then it will affect the composite role.

Hi

check the following link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/52/6714a9439b11d1896f0000e8322d00/content.htm

master role is the reference role,

composite role is a combination of single roles, so if u change one, that particular single role is affected, there will be no affect to other single roles

Hi,

Normally a master (or reference) role is not assigned to any user. Only the derived roles are assigned.

You cannot have a composite role without single roles because a composite role is a collection of single roles.
