Hi all,

My SBO Backup Utility doesn't work properly. It only makes the BU's ín the SAP_TMP folder, but doesn't create the ".zip" and doesn't transfer the ".zip" to the SAP_BACKUP folder.

The Computer Management Event Viewer (Application) gives with the following error message:

The description for Event ID ( 164 ) in Source ( SBOBackUp ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: .

Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance!

Lars

Dear L. Pelzer ,

Request you to refer SAP Note: 985228 for more information on the reported issue. The note Says,

Symptom

When you use the SBO backup service for backing up large databases (more

than 2 GB), the backup file is not compressed to zip format and the file

stays in the Temp folder.

Other terms

SBOBackup, backup, zip, format, service, Temp, compressed, file

Reason and Prerequisites

Application error

Solution

SAP plans to fix this issue in a patch for Release 2005 A SP01 and 2005

B. Please refer to the info.txt file on SAP Service Marketplace to

confirm that the fix was included.

Note: a partial fix was applied in PL 36 of 2005A SP01 and PL 32 of

2005B. The patch referred to above will include an additional fix.

After the fix, when SBOBackup performs a backup to a large database, the

backup file will be divided to several files that will be zipped

separately.
