Hi team,
I have a query regarding the execution time
taken. we have ECC6-IDES on windows 2003.
Problem is whenever we try to type any tcode and
press enter --it takes too much time to process.
I have cleared the logs, moved oraarch files, anything else
need to be done to overcome this??

Manjula
Hi Manjula,
What is your hardware configuration?
May be at the time of installation you have skiped the database update statitics.update it once in db13.

Dear Manjula,
Actually when we try to login (GUI) it works fine but if we
access the same server in LAN its very slow.
****Ex:se38--->pgm nameZXXXXXx --display*****
If other processes are running fine and only a particular Z report is running slow then the problem is with the report.
Speak to your ABAPr.May be he needs to tune that Z report..

Ashutosh
Hi Ashutosh,
I am not talking about a particular program tat this report is
not runing. On server when we enter any tcode and wait for
the output screen we get the required screen in correct time
but if we go to systems which users access from their workstation and when they enter any Tcode like se38 or se80 like that it takes nearly 15-20 minutes for that task to complete or screen to appear .If more time it is consuming it results in message_type_x error .so I want to know wat are the possible reasons as per why this happens.
thank you
manjula.
Reasons can be many.As you say on the server system everything running fine then obviously nobody will advice to change any parameters. It can be a network issue.Co-ordinate with your network team.
Ok, is it coming with every system and every user ID?
What is your GUI version and patch level?
PS:My goodness 62 unresolved posts,how come?

Ashutosh
hi manula,
if ur server running slow, then check the following,
1) check any long running jobs are there. also check whether more number of long running jobs
2) ora arch files.
3) check the wp's in sm50 if they are in priv mode .
4) check any updates are going on.
5) check the reports which are taking long time and try to tune them

bhupesh
Hi Manju,
Can you tell wheather only ABAP txcodes or all the other modules txcodes are opening slowly ?
First of all try to monitor the system continously and find which workprocess is taking more time.
Coming to next one regarding ABAP there might me many reasons for getting down the system performance wise and becoming slow during responding. If u r having regular monitor of the ABAP work u should first analyze the programs performance using SE30 where if any program performance is more than 40% touching database ask them to aviod using tht program and suggest them to make the changes. And the try to cut down the dumps on ST22, and regular monitor of ST02, ST03 can improve your system response time.
Thks
