Split valuation

Folks,

I've switched the possibility of split valuation in customizing on. I create a material and do not make use of split valuation. Is it possible to make this material split valuation relevant at a later moment? Even if I already have materials on stock?

Same other way around, is it possible to switch split valuation off once used?

Hi,

Yes you can activate Split valuation at any point of time but the valuation will be active only when you are receiving the material and using it for production

if you have stocks maintained for the same material then you can;t do it easily...First remove all the stocks...Delete all the PO's and other externel as well as internal docs made of it...

Then assign...

But its not suggested...Because it will change the Valuation for the existing stocks also..
