Marco,
Intresting question and good contibutions by all
Alrite, here we go, check this folder for all images used in themes, you would find the .gif files in here.
Drive\usr\sap\SID\InstanceNumber\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata\themes\its\designs\"THEME"\webgui\ma\scrindp\images
"THEME" above refers to any specific theme you would want to choose.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Sandeep Tudumu

Hi Marco
1.Create a folder under root to hold the images...
I created a folder "IMAGES" under
root > documents > Public Documents
2.Then select this Folder in which to upload the images, then on toolbar under KM content ,open context menu and navigate as
FOLDER>New>Upload
Give Name and description and browse and upload the images.
For your info..
The path of image can be had by right clicking the uploaded image.. .
Hope it helps..
Thanks...

Hi Marco..
Generally images are stored in documents folder in KM content....
i.e. Content Admin> Km Content>documents
Also you create you own custom folder in KM content sometimes to store images, the way i told u above
There are so many folders in km content so images can be in any of these..
Like in our case its in Km Content>documents folder>Public documents..
In short its difficult to name one folder but yes it will be in KM Content..
Moreover If u are in theme editor..
u can see the path of already uploaded image,,,, it will give u the idea that where in which folder it is stored..
Hope it helps..
Thanks..

Hi Marco,
You can find those uploaded image files in KM. KM is like your file server but is within the Portal that you can use to manage your files/content/data. Files, content or data exist in KM can be index and search via the Portal TREX (Search Engine).
SAP NetWeaver Training Overview - SAP Knowledge Management (KM)
1) Storing images in Portal
2) Simple static web pages and images? Store/refernence in KM?

3) Upload Image to KM Repository
/thread/26834 [original link is broken]
4) showing image located in km folder
Hope that helps.

Ok thanks a lot.
Last Question:
Do you know where in which folder I can find the images which are used for the standard sap themes. The issue is that I have used a standard sap theme as template -> modiefied it as necessary and stored the new template with a different template name. Now the problemis that behind my uploaded images I can see the sap theme images. My idea is to delete this images on the server.
Any ideas??
Thanks
Hi Marco,
As mentioned by CV, Portal Themes is a Standard Content Delivery when you install EP. The following lists the themes are contained in the standard portal content http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/4f/5f27401544ed01e10000000a155106/frameset.htm.
Note that default content supplied with the portal is duplicated in the portal content directory (PCD). Source objects are located in the Portal Catalog under Portal Content/Content Provided by SAP. Try looking into that location and I wish you best of luck.
Why not try creating your own theme
