P&L sttament acct type

HI,

while creating g.l a/cs in FS00, it is asking P&L sttament acct radio button P&L sttatment acct type also, but my clint do'nt want the P&L sttament acct type in FS00, is it possible surpreess or delete the P&L sttament acct type field.

Hi Balu,

Please understand us what is your client requirement exactly. In accounting every account created should belongs to either P&L or B/S account. What is the purpose eliminating the radio buttion P&L account.

in FS00 , P&L stament, B/S stament other than this field we have one more field P&l stament a/c type, where u have to enter the retain earnings a/c type X or Y, this field they do'nt want.

EX:

Account Group: EXP a/cs

0 Profit&loss sttament(Radio button)

P&L statmt acct type:X or Y(this field i want supress or delete)

Functional Area

0 balance sheet acctount(Radio button)

Hi Balu,

Check the retained earnings account,I think they might be assigned two or more accounts under OB53.If you maintain one retained earings account under ob53, P &L statement account type it wont' display.I hope you understood.

If more than one retained earnings are defined in the configuration, then this field will have to be entered(check tcode OB53). You can not suppress this. If there is only one retained earnings account that you have defined in the config, then the system does not prompt you to enter this detail. It looks like there are two or more Retained earnings defined in the system, so you will HAVE to enter the details. Unfortunately you CANNOT suppress this field.

I am not clear about your clients requirements... Why is a GL account required if neither PL nor BS account type is to be assigned to it.. Do we have any other account type?
