Activating Instant Messaging

Hi, i am hanif i am new to portal.Plz provide me assistance regarding EP Administration i.e..in Collaboration how to activate Instant Messaging.E-mail is working but Instant Messaging is not working.The service of rtc is also activated and showing started in Service Configuration.The collaboration rtc pooling mechanism is also selected in RTC engine.But still in portal the Auto-Select-Status is not showing the active members....
