There is no item category assigned to account 8000/STAR

Hi

When i am trying to post G/L using FB50...its giving an error message

"There is no item category assigned to account 8000/STAR"

My a/c no: 8000 is under the account group - Bank accounts

Please help!

Hi,

If you are working on ECC 6.0 then check:

Spro>accounting> financial accounting(New)> General Ledger Accounting (new)> Business Transactions > Document Splitting> Classify GL Accounts for Document Splitting&Execute.

Give your chart of Acconts

assign the GL to an exxpenditure or income or balance sheet item or asset.

Thanks for the reply, but when i assigned this a/c no to Balance sheet....its giving an error

"Additional Account assignment required for field BSEG-ZFBDT"

i figured it out .... i have disabled my document splitting....then i could post the document!
