Weighted Average Calculation for FTE's

Has anyone implemented a BPC application to calculate FTE's (Full time equivalents / employee headcount) using a weighted average calculation using the pay periods within each month as the weighting?

The weighted-average is needed to look at Full year, Year to Date and Month to Date measures (and time dim. members).

I would like to do this as efficiently and scalable as possible to avoid any performance degradation within the system.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you write down how the calculation looks like in mathematic and then I will try to find the formula?
