CR Basic for VS 2008 runtime install missing dll's

Hello,

We have created several CR Basic for VS 2008 reports within ASP.Net. We are now ready to deploy to web server so we installed the runtime for CR Basic for VS 2008 from your download area (Zip was named "CRBasicVS2008_redist_x86.zip", MSI was named "CRRedist2008_x86.msi").

When we installed the runtime, the 2.8 folder (is this for 10.5?) gets created with a "bin" folder and all the COM files are installed. However, no "managed" folder gets created to contain the .NET assemblies. No errors are reported during the runtime install. We also searched for the .NET assemblies to see if they were installed in another location.

Any ideas why this would happen? According to the download area this zip file was recently updated, so can can someone check if this is happening with other installs?

Thanks...vsdotnetguy

Hi Bob,

Did you check the GAC to see if they got cached there?

Check the Windows\assembly folder and see if you see them there.
