4 ETQ399 ... current release too low (< 2002_1_31I)

HI,

I am running an upgrade in modus PREPARE from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 and I get the message that: current release too low (< 2002_1_31I).

I downloded the Add-Ons 2002_1_46C (SAPKIND76A).

I extract it to \usr\sap\trans\EPS and the file is ...\EPS\bin

I logon to the the system and uploaded it and I see it is installable.

Problem: When I want to install it the system tells its already installed.

Why I see it its installable? Why PREPARE ask for it when its installable?

Just an additional question: you have installed 2002_1_31I under 4.6c?

Hi Markus,

All I have now is:

PI PI 2001_2_46C Installation

SAPKIPZE41 imported

SAPKIPZE42 imported

SAPKIPZE43 imported

SAPKIPZE44 imported

SAPKIPZE45 imported

SAPKIPZE46 imported

SAPKIPZF41 not imported

SAPKIPZF42 not imported

SAPKIPZF43 not imported

SAPKIPZF44 not imported

SAPKIPZG41 not imported

SAPKIPZG42 not imported

SAPKIPZG43 not imported

SAPKIPZG44 not imported

SAPKIPZG45 not imported

And the upgrade says:

The version 2001_2_46C of the Add-on PI is too low for this upgrade (< 2002_1_31I).

You need to upgrade the Add-on first before you can proceed with PREPARE.

Thanks in advance.

I just saw that there's more to do to upgrade

http://service.sap.com/r3-plug-in

--> SAP R/3 Plug-In

--> Upgrade

Select your source release and upgrade path and you will get the sequence you need to upgrade the PI.

Hi,

for downloading PlugIns

go to

service.sap.com/swdc

from here go to the following path

Support Packages and Patches">Entry by Application group> Plug-Ins" SAP Plug-In"

you can find all the Plug-Ins at this location

select the type of plugin you require download and at to the upgrade or install it with SAINT

hope this helps

Thanks and Regards

You need to do a more-step upgrade, that´s why I gave you that site.

Give the source and target release and it will tell you which package to download and install.

you need an UPGRADE package, not the installation package, that´s why you are told that it´s already installed.
