my client had a requirement to make the customer field mandatory in tcode pvo3

can some one guide how to achieve this?

One option would be to create a Transaction/Screen variant for PV03 in SHD0.

Hi Anil

Check for BADI : HRTNM_BOOKING

you can check if the customer field is blank while saving then throw error
