material shortage after releasing the pp order

HI Friends,

After creating the production order & releasing it we found out shortage of raw material in the shop floor, how to handle the situation in SAP

Hy Arun,

You can handle this situation by 2 ways as per the current situation of order.

- Do "Read Master Data" .It will change the order status to CRTD from REL.On the availability of the materials release the order again.

- If "Read Master Data" is not possible then LOCK the order on temporary bases so that no one can do transaction over this order.

Path is

Process / Prod. Order ---> Function ---> Restrict Processing -

---

> Lock.

Whenever material gets available revoke that LOCK status and confirm the order.

Hi,

Go to CO02--Function-Read PP Master data it will take you back to create mode and you can avoid this. Or do availabilty check it will give you missing part list.

To avoid this

kindly maintain in IMG menu whether the order should be released or created if the materail is shortage.In T code OPJK

for your plant and order type make the settings as per your requirement

Use tcode OPJK.

Select your order type and your business function 1 or 2.

1 is for order creation.

2 is for release.

Make sure the following setting to control the order if missing parts found:

1.Remove indicator mark in No availability check

2.Indicate Check material availability when saving the order.

3.Type of comp check: ATP check

4.Material release: 3- No release if parts are missing.

If it is in procurement stage, then

its better bring it to created stage by reading the master data,

don't do insitial postings 561mvttype.(don't suggest this if you are at client place or implementation or support)

Then u procure the shortage materail

(go to mb1c with mvmt type 561)

after Goods posting ,

Go to Co02-Functions-Click PP READ MASTER DATA

After this production order updated

Production order relese will be cancelled,then u have to relese the order gain

Hi,

Please do not use 561 movement type in the running system.

561 movement type is used only when ur doing some cut over activities while implementation.

Do not use this movement type in running system.
