License expiration date has no value

Former Member

Hi all,

I have a AS ABAP ECC 6.0 system whose INITIAL license expired two days ago.

I finally got the permanent license for the system and I logged on as SAP* and executed the SLICENSE transaction. I installed the permanent license and it appears with green status (Succesfully installed) but the fact is that in current settings tab, the License Expiration date appears to be the date of expiration of the INITIAL license.

I managed to delete the INITIAL license with the command saplicense -delete, but now the License Expiration date shows no value.

Because of that the system does not recognise the installed license and I cannot logon in the system with any user but SAP*.

Could anyone help me??

Thank you!!

We also expirenced this. Have two OS/DB flavours MSSQL/Windows and DB2/AIX. Incorrectly applied for license on DB2/AIX server under the MSSQL installation. License appears to apply OK is green, but product is NetWeaver_MSS - hence the empty License Expiration Date.

Hello GBS-SO Accenture,

As you have tried to install license from SAP level, may I request you to try to install SAP license from OS.

The process are :

Logon to os with the id SIDADM.

Issue the command "saplicense -show" - It will show the current license status of your system.

Now issue the command "saplicense -install" and give the parameter as system ask for.

Best wishes...

I already deleted the temporary license and try to install the permanent one and the License expiration date shows no value....

I have just deleted the temporary license. I restarted the SAP system. Log on as SAP* (I cannot log on with another user, because the initial license expired last thursday).

The result is that the new license is correctly installed, it is shown in GREEN status, and all the fields in Current settings table are shown except for the License Expiration date, that keeps in blank....

Try to download new license, may be it incorrect. Regards.

You might want to doublecheck if the HW key, basing on which you have generated SAP license, is correct.

If you make a typo (ex: leading "0" instead of "O") in HW key, while requesting a license - the result would be exactly as you describe.
