Unable to use Service Order button in ECC 6.0 from Notification page

Hi,

In ECC 6.0, I had created a Service Order via Repair Order. In the Service Order (IW32), I navigated to 'Objects' to create a Notification. In the Notification Screen, Service Order button in available. But when I click on this to return to the Service Order, the whole screen exits. But this does not happen if I use the back space.

Request clarification pls.

Thanks.

Raj

Hi,

The steps that I carried out in ECC 6.0 are:

(1) Create a Repair Order via VA01

(2) Create Delivery (automatic)

(3) Post GR (via VL02N)

(4) Create Service Order (Repair Action via VA02)

(5) Open Service Order via IW32

(6) Go to Objects Tab Page, Create a Notification

In this Notification Header Screen, "Service Order" button is available. When I clicked on this to return to the Object List, the whole screen exits.

Whereas this does not arise when I opened the same Notification via IW52 after creation.

Thanks.

Raj,

It sounds like a bug..

Are you using any order/notification user-exits or BADIs?

If not, then raise an OSS Message to SAP.

No Pete, not at this stage of transaction. I followed the steps manually.

Pete,

You were right. We had used an User Exit in the Notification. As per OSS reply, the problem occured because BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL was called from within the user exit EXIT_SAPMIWO0_020 (QQMA0014 'Customer Exit: Checks before Saving Notification').

This BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_GET_DETAIL is using the same global variables as transaction IW32 itself. In order to keep these data consistent and separated we should call the BAPI in a new roll area by using DESTINATION 'NONE'

The problem is resolved.

Thanks.
