Reg. BOM

HI Sapguru,

I have one typical scenario,

In my clients cement business process there is a variations in bom materials by % at regular intervals.It is nota fixed bom. Based on the feed back of Quality controls, they need to create the BOM for that material.How to map this scenario in sap.

If not any other method please do needful and give me some idea.

Hi,

For this kind of % change If you have fixed variation or variable variation. You can use the concept of MQC (Material Quantity calculation). Are you using BOM or Recipie?

If it is process industry. please follow the following path to understand the MQC concept.

Hi,

I think BOM has not to be created every time, even I don't think you should change the quantities of components in the BOM, you shoudl maintain an average qty for each part.

If the consumed quantities always vary, you should change the component list of the PrdOrd or the quantities of components at the time of confirmation.
