My client is using a material(HALB) which is having
Base unit of measure as BOX
Unit of issue = M
1BOx = 107 M
when they create a production order for FERT (1 Pc FERT require 1M HALB)
in production order of 10 pc .
material assigment quantity shown of HALB = 107 M instead of 10 M which is exactly required according to BOM.
Kindly guide me how to correct it so that quantity displayed in production order should be acording to BOM only.
Thanks
MADISH
Hello,
First let us confirm below points,
What unit of measure has maintained for item component at Header material BOM, is M or Box.
ie 1 Pc of A = 1 M of B or 1 Box of B.
Please also check the BOM explosion result at cs11 by assigning requirement qty.

Let me elaborate it
according to BOM
10 meter of B is required for production of 1 Pc of A
Data of A
Base unit of measure = Pc
MRP = PD
Data of B
Base unit of measure = BOX
unit of issue = M
MRP Type = VB
in additional data conversion is maintained
1BOX = 107 M
When we give the demand of 1 pc of A production order for A is genrated(after converting planned order)
But in Prod. order in material assigment field it shows quantity of B is = 107 M instead of 10 M
and while doing GI also it post 107M not 10 M
Note that 1 BOx = 107 M
how to correct it
Thanks

You required to maintain the alternative unit of measure in Additional Data view of Material Master of HAlb Material Type.
Then system will take the proportional factors during creation of BOM of FERT Material.
