Hi All,
The client wants to delete all documents of a certain document type XX.
This can be performed in Other Functions --> Delete --> Documents
However, after selecting the version, period, year and document type XX as required,
Only SOME of the the documents are deleted!
NB None of the cons units or tasks are locked, nor is the period closed.
Does anyone have any ideas;
1. Why won't ALL the documents delete?
2. How can I delete the rest?
NB I realise it's not best practice but this system is not yet live and this is the quickest way for the client to progress with their activities (they don't want to deleteall data nor reverse all of doc type XX).
Hi,
Maybe the not deleted documents are the inverted ones?

From SAP:
The functionality Delete > Documents will reset the Totals data for the document type specified, to zero. It is dependent on the customizing setting which you have done in the Doc.Type whether the documents of current period should be reversed or deleted, and also some extra documents may be posted to reset totals data to zero.
These documents may be the documents you saw after deletion.
You are right that you can use 'Analyze and Repair Data Streams' tool
in available in the system. This tool will delete documents and reset
totals data to zero. You may consider to use this tool if the delete
function does not meet your expectation.
Best Regards,
