Administrator password lost

Hi All,

We are setting up the CE 7.1 production environment and have run into a road block. The Administrator user password was changed and the new password is unknown.

I tried accessing the ume.superadmin.activated and ume.superadmin.password properties in the configtool and found these to be disabled. i.e. I am unable to set these values in the configtool.

Any idea why this should be the case?

regards,

Kevin Hill

Hi Kevin,

Do you have access to any user having rights to User Management.

Once you have i think you regenerate the password for Administrator user.

Hi,

Thanks Srinivasan for your reply. I do not have any other user created with which I can reset the password.

I am trying to use the ume.superadmin.activated property to activate the SAP* login. However I am not able to change this property in the configtool.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

>>> ume.superadmin.activated property to activate the SAP* login. However I am not able to change this property in the configtool.

Have a look into this link if you are using the correct way of editing things in config tool.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/0b/50ad3e1d1edc61e10000000a114084/content.htm.

for quick edit , You can use the SAP NetWeaver Administrator to view and edit properties at the template and instance level. Enter the quick link /nwa/sys-config. In the Services tab, select User Management Engine.

Also look into this http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/3a/4a0640d7b28f5ce10000000a155106/frameset.htm

Hi,

Thanks for the link.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/0b/50ad3e1d1edc61e10000000a114084/content.htm.

I had read this before, but not carefully enough it seems.

I set the property at the global level and wqas able to get in

Just emphasizes the need to go through the documentation before doing anything.

Kevin
