MSS Homepage Customization

Hi All,

We have a requirement where in MSS Homepage customization is required.Portal version in use is EP5.0 and we have SAP 4.6C as R/3.

Customization through Homepage Framework concept is not there in SAP 4.6 C it seems.And help is this regard with be highly appreciated.

Hi Richa,

I think u are using the Java based version of MSS. For this you don't have the Homepage Framework concept. You need to remove the worksets/pages which u do not require from tha role.

Thanks for your quick response.

The MSS role is having worksets/pages under it.There is a page under that role called MSS Home page where we have few Images and associated links and there we need to add one more link.

So its something like adding a link to MSS Home page i.e customization of Home page...

It sounds like your "Home Page" is actually a Workset Map iView, as there is no Homepage configuration in 4.6C.

You should just be able to create a new iView/Page and link it to the Workset at the same level as the other pages that appear in the menu. The Workset Map iView should then pick up the new page and display it.

You can enter descriptive text and specify a pictogram (graphic) in the properties of the new page.

PS - if you upgrade your portal to EP7, the pictures become "clickable".
