BOM ARCHIVING

Hi All,

Can anyone help in knowing the benifits of BOM archiving?

Does it have any negative impact as well?

A tutorial on BOM archiving would be of great help.

Hi,

You can use the archiving program to archive data that you no longer require. The data is written to archive files. If this transaction is successful, you can delete the data from the system.

Negative impact :- You cannot reload archived BOM data to the R/3 System

Choose Logistics-- Production-- Master data --Bills of material -

---

Extras -- Archiving.

For BOMs, archive object CS_BOM is defined.
