Copy Cube and Update Rule

Gurus,

We're on BI7.

I have a Cube AA that linked to Update Rule AABB created in RSA1.

Now I would like to create a new Cube and Update Rule. Instead of creating a new one, is there a way to copy from the exiting InfoCube AA and Update Rule AABB? How?

Please help.

Right click on application component -

---

>Create infocube---->In "copy from" tab give your old infocube.

Hence you have a copy of your old cube.

Not sure if you can copy update rules.You may have to recreate it.

Hi,

You cannot copy a Update Rule, but you can use the same Update Rule for many data targets.

First, you can make a copy of the cube. Then, while creating the update rule for the second cube, supply the Infosource name same as that of the 1st cube.

Try this. It might help you out.
