Hi Experts,
We have some assets that have been incorrectly entered into the system prior to stores opening and are therefore already depreciating.
Is it possible to change the capitalisation date? With the desired result being that the asset will stop depreciating until a later date.
Please advise the best solution
Cheers
Samir
Hi
Enter the deactivation date. No data will be posted to Asset Master.

Hi Srinivas,
I'm trying to stop the depreciation being posted for time being or temporary and in near future we'll again start posting depreciation to this assets.
when I put the deactivation date, it pops up the error message that asset has acquired value. So I think this option wouldn't work.
Is ticking 'Shutdown' field is the option? Does shutdown flag stops the deprecaion on the asset for the time being?
Cheers

Hi
To stop the assets from being depreciated, simply assign dep key 0000 to the assets.
