BI-Portal 7.0 Integration with RSPOR_SETUP issue

Hello all,

We based our BI-Portal integration procedure on a document we downloaded from SDN - of which instructed us to use: RSPOR_SETUP -- and after we executed the steps - we were left to one error: Different ABAP and JAVA Support Packages. Combination of Support Packages Invalid.

We have our BI System (Double Stack Installation) patched to SP14. We also looked into: SAP Note Number: 914138. We are instructed to patch to SAPKW70014 but we are already on SAPKW70016 due to the SP14 patching.

We raised the issue to SAP and they informed us:

Please be aware, that report RSPOR_SETUP should NOT be used with a
Netweaver 04s system. This report has been replaced by the Support
Desk Tool.

Finally please read the FAQ Note 1072576 for further information.

We are running on a strict deadline and we are thinking if there's a "quick" patch or workaround on this -- without redoing everything under Support Desk Tool?

Hello. About "Combination of Support Packages" read Note 1013369 - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI - intermediate Support Packages.

You need to use "Support Desk Tool" , may be it already in your system --> try to check this link in your system

Yes, I got that part Sergo. Thanks.

Though we almost completed the integration using the RSPOR_SETUP - and we're wondering if we could do something to workaround with this - though there seems to be a compatibility issue here.

From the looks of it, we only have the Support Desk as the only option now.
