active dso error on sap bi ides.

hello,

when i try to create a dso (rsa1) on sap bi7 ides system,

it shows error:

The creation of the export DataSource failed

Error when opening an RFC connection

Error when activating DataStore Object ZODS_001

....

more error msg,

The creation of the export DataSource failed

Message no. RSBM035

Diagnosis

The creation of the DataSource &v1& was unsuccessful.

System Response

Whilst generating the export InfoSource, the metadata for a DataSource must be generated. An error arose when doing this.

Procedure

Consult the appropriate developer (function module: RSB1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE).

i have re-allocat of rfc connection in sm59, now i can active ods,

Hi,

It is due to the RFC connection with the source system. In this scenario, an "Export Data Source" will be automatically generated for a DSO in BI 7or for ODS in BW 3.X. (For ex: if you create DSO with name "ABC", an "Export Data Source" will be automatically generated with name "8ABC"). This export data source is used when you load data any further data target from "ABC".

In order to generate "Export Data Source", BI system will act like a source system for it self (Myself Data Mart). Before generation export data source, system checks the RFC connection between the source and destination.

The error you've got is due the the RFC Connection failure. You can eleminate this problem by activation the source system (Data Mart) again and the check the RFC Connection in the Transaction SM59.

I suppose that the problem is regarding the wrong IP address.

Take a look at your IP address in SM59.
