Storage bin

Hi all

My client is in Singapore, where space problem is a concern.

While receiving goods in general stores, they store the material in whichever the bin is empty. (No bin is alloted for any particular material). How to trace the material at any given point of time?

Could you suggest me how to configure this kind of situation in WM?

U can use bin status report LX03 and give the material number over there,system will display the bins in which a material is stored.

Strategy can be "next empty bin" or "open storage"

Hi

If your bins are configured in WM then use put away strategy L this is next empty bin and the system will find the first emoty bin it can and place the stock in there

This will have full traceability with LT24 and you can see the stock in LX02

As there is limited space, you can apply the putaway strategy 'I', this is addition to exisitng stock. In the storage type definition you have to put blank in 'mixed storage'. By applying this you will ensure that materilas can be added to the bins that has already same kind of materials, without mixing them.

Furtehr you can trace bins by LX03 and materials by LS26 report.
