Input and Output Ports Problem

Hi,

I have defined an IView where I defined the Outcome to an OUTPUT Port EMP which sends Employee Number.

And I had defined one more IView where it starts from an Input Port EMP, which takes Employee Number as Input for the RFC Enabled Function Module.

Both these IViews are there in the same page. So in the page level I tried defining a link between these two ports of these IViews. But I was not able to do that.

Why is it happening so?

Is it possible to define a link from OUTPUT PORT of FIRST IVIEW to INPUT PORT of SECOND IVIEW?

Can anyone let us know if this is possible.

what do you mean with:

You don't need to define a link between these ports. The ports must have the same name and thats it.

So it should work.

I mean to say that, I have to explicitly define a LINK between two IViews.

So, you mean to say that, we dont need any link between these two IViews right at page level right?

Hi Kuncham,

Which version and Patch level of VC and EP you are using?

Have you deployed the .sda files into the portal?

Does both of the ports have the same EPCM value? check it out in the Properties tab.

Well, I am using VC 6.

And We are on EP 6.0 SP14.

And how to check if these .SDA files are deployed into my PORTAL?

Coming to EPCM values of both the PORTS...

com.sap.visualcomposer:epcm

Both have the same value.

Hi Kuncham,

VC 6.0 with Patch level 6.0 is supported by Ep 6.0 SP 13, as you can see the portal addons that are available with Patch 6.0 are for EP 6.0 SP 12/13. Deploy the sda files that are in the addon folder SP13 into EP 6.0 SP 13 and then try it out.
