Will "?" or "#" cause DTW Visual C++ Runtime Error

Hi,

Will a "?" or "#" in .csv file cause a Visual C++ Runtime Error when importing data via the SAP Data Transfer Workbench?

I am importing legacy data via the SAP Data Transfer Workbench . It has been working fine until yesterday. When I was importing a small group of orders (about 200) a Visual C++ Runtime error came up and closed me out of the DTW.

I have tried many more test imports changing the data slightly with the same error. I finally have the data importing error free. I did remove any "#" and "?" from the data and it seems like after that it worked. The only reason I am unsure is I made other changes to the data at the same time.

Thank You

Henry

The more user friendly text format for DTW is tab delimited format. That is because the less conversion may happen for the actual data.

Any special characters in your data may cause problems. Select the best suitable one to save your time.

Thanks,

Gordon
