production version

i heard that by using production version we can select the bom and routing. when do we select these?

when creating a production order. and where do we select routing in production version. I didnt find it any where.

Hello,

Your are right , you can select the Routing and BOM using the production Version while creating the Production order manually . (CO01).

Please follow below steps,

1. Assign the routing Group number , Group counter number and Alternate BOM number at Production version .

2. Assign the BOM selection method = 2 & 3 ( by production version ) at MRP view of material.

3. Set the production version selection = manual for order type/'plant combination at OPL8.

Now create production order system give popup t o select the PV.
