Costing Run - not updating MM master cost of Semi finished product correct

Dear Sirs,

We have maintained material master for:

1. Semi finished product with price indicator as "S" and updated price as INR 1000.00

2. Raw material with price indicator as "V" and entered first time price as INR 100.00

We had raised PO for Raw material - INR 400.00.

Activity cost maintined at INR 2.00 per minute, activity time - 30 minutes, hence total activity cost INR 60.00

After doing the actual production of that S/F product the raw material cost as in the MM master plus activity cost is getting added and shown in MM master of S/F product - as 100+60 = 160.00

instead of the PO price plus activity cost. 400 + 60 = 460.00

Can you please adv some solution

Hi Sanjay,

Here is the solution for two of your problem.

1) Moving average not updating raw material--- You need to a GRIR not only PO to update the price in material master & then it will be picked up in ur costing.

2) Cost component error:-- Go to OKTZ they go into Z1 component & assign the cost element in the error to a respective cost component.

ya, what nelish is says is correct, when ever u have to go ck24 marking and release then only your finished goods standard cost updated in future price in costing1 view.

Hi Sanjay,

• Have you done costing run using tcode CK11N and then marking and release material using Tcode CK24. After updating only, you can get new standard price of material in MM master .

If not work get back to me.

No, we had not done CK11N, I tried just now and now there is another error: I cut and paste the error here.

Diagnosis

The system attempted to generate the cost component split for the material, but discovered that no assignment has been made in cost component structure Z1 for cost element 94300201 and possibly for origin group .

System Response

The cost component split is incomplete. The cost of goods manufactured in the cost component split is therefore less than in the itemization.

Procedure

Go into Customizing for Product Cost Controlling and carry out the assignment for cost component structure Z1 and chart of accounts CAAI.
