Hi,
I downloaded the NW CE 7.1 Preview full version for Windows 32-bit. I did everything that was required and provided all that is required and left most of the settings as default. It installed without any problems. After installation I checked and the default MaxDB was started without any errors.
I then tried http://<mylocalhostname>:50000/nwa to see what else I need to do. I got 'The page cannot be displayed' instead. Any URL I tried with http://<mylocalhostname>:50000 in it, gives me the same error message.
Am I missing a step here? The documentation isn't very detailed after installation is done.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Ashok,
I tried http://<localhostname>:50000/ and I got the message:
503 Service Not Available
<snip>
Detail: ICM running but no server with HTTP connected
I checked using sapmmc and the SAP Systems tree is showing:
1. CE1 (yellow and green)
2. <localhostname> (I think this is the MaxDB - in blue)
3. <localhostname>_0 (in yellow)
4. <localhostname>_1 (in green)
I tried to manually stopping and restarting <localhostname>_0, but it still comes out yellow and not green.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Hi again,
I got curious and looked closely at the one in yellow. Apparently the program jstart.ext is starting the processes. Around 34 minutes and plenty of disk activity later, it turned green!
I only had to be patient, after all.
Now the Welcome page displays the 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java' page. Wonderful!
Thanks.
I had the same problem , and the process jstart.ext stopped , I configure the enviroment variables
classpath = .
path += <folder bin of java>
and ....
In my case the service MAXDB : CE1 was disable , I enabled this service in manager tools . And after of thirty seven minutes the jstart.ext change of color a Green !!!!!
