IGS remote connection failed

Hi Experts,

In SM59 , in TCP connection type...iam getting the below error when i do connection test.

I tried all the steps provided in this forum as well as SAP market place too.Still this is not solved.

Its solution manager system.

Do i need to install it again.

I have seen services file and all in and outs,every things looks fine.Please let me know your suggestions.

Hello,

Before patching the IGS did you make sure that the igs process were not running on the OS level like

igsmux,igswd and igspt.

Once you have done pathcing which is basically the update of the following 11 files.

bwgis.so,gfwchart.so ,igsexe.lst ,igsmanifest.mf ,igsmux_mt ,

igspw_mt ,igswd_mt, imgconv.so ,sgxgis.so ,xmlchart.so ,zipper.so make sure u start the igs with the following command in background. (i.e by adding an '&' at the end).

/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGSXX/exe/igswd_mt -mode=profile pf=<profile path> &

automatically igsmux and igspt will be started by the igswd (watch dog).

As I said I will try by applying latest patches ,it worked here.

Hi Harikrishna,

What is your system version? Did you configure the RFC destination as per the note 454042.

We are using solman 7.0 and netweaver 2004s ,I configured in the sameway mentioned in the sap note.

What is your OS and is it a 32 bit version? Are you installing IGS 7.0?

The IGS is ported to Unix platforms with the IGS 6.40, check note 458731, it seems IGS 7.0 does not work on unix.

Hi KVR,

Thanks for your response ,our system is SPARC 64 bit and i see IGS 7.0 will work but the released version is common to both 32 and 64bit.Thats not the problem ,seems to be some other problem.

I have even registered my program id at unix level.Still its not working.

Can some one help me on this.

Ok Thanks,

Now I feel there is only one way to troubleshoot,it by istalling the IGS new version as per the SAP notes.
